Wedding season is almost over but I have one fun one coming up this weekend in SF that I am seriously excited for. A reunion with so many of b school friends means an awesome three day weekend is ahead of me. Apparently a fall SF wedding weekend is now an annual event for me (see last year’s post that is quite similar) and I love it!!! What to wear, what to pack in a carry on…all of that needs to be figured out asap!!
Friday Night Drinks: It gets chilly up in SF but not chilly enough to warrant full on winter wear. I found this amazing Helmut Lang Leather Dress and it’s going to be a new LBD staple for me. I’ll pair it with some suede Sigerson Morrison shooties (this is a term for booties + shoes combo because they’re not high enough to be considered a full on bootie) and an ivory boucle blazer to contrast the black. When the top of a dress is such a statement, I always stick to a solid necklace that doesn’t drape too low. This JCrew one is on sale and you’ll wear it over and over again.
Vino drinking: One of the days we are headed up to Napa and this means a casual outfit that I’ll be comfy in. I’m thinking some great jeans paired with an easy chiffon top that I can wear to work the day I fly out. I’m loving this Linea Pelle Hip Belt that I got at Shopbop F&F. I can never tell what SF weather will be so that Zara Boucle Blazer will come in handy. once again I’ll pop on some neutral booties (obsessed with my Club Monaco ones) and then I’ll use this Prada bag. Just kidding because I don’t actually own this Prada but I saw it this weekend in navy and have decided to start a “#IWANTTHISPRADABAG” savings account.
Wedding: For the actual wedding, I struggled finding a great cocktail dress that I’ll actually wear again. This weekend I popped into Rebecca Taylor for their F&F and of course came across amazing options. I went with this ruffle shift that has such a stunning sheer back. The neckline means hair is up and some statement earrings that will give me a pop of color. I love the idea of these gorgeous Jimmy Choo wedges and a bold clutch to balance out my all black look. Dream Shoes NBD.
