Hello everyone. I am especially sleepy today and of course work has taken over my morning workout that usually perks me up. One of those days…So let’s look at some things I am lusting over to perk me up. Looks like I’m craving some neutral basics in my closet these days. I consider navy a neutral don’t you? Because those navy booties are too cute!
Clockwise from top left: Khirma Eliazov Jolie Lizard /Snakeskin Clutch – $795 // JCrew D Ring Belt – $33 // Ugg Mini Bailey Bow Boots (i know, i know, these are uggs but these are the first pair I’ve ever found to be cute) -$150 // Baublebar Anderson Crawler Earrings – $34 // Mason by Michelle Mason Sweater Dress (love this) – $385 // Kate Spade Lace A Line Skirt (and the matching top!) – $298 // Lulu Frost Lustre Necklace (dream) – $495 // Sole Society Navy Zada Woven Ankle Boots – $100 // Mango Textured Cotton Dress – $60 // JCrew Collection Wrap Coat (this is a classic and it also comes in black) – $400 // Miu Miu Flats – $595
Lauren and I have been discussing my purchase of a floppy hat and I am annoyed at myself for not getting into this sooner. I was into this Rag and Bone hat that I featured last week but what I wasn’t loving was spending $200 on it. I really loved the navy and was sad when I decided to be budget conscious on an accessory (WHO HAVE I BECOME????). While on a trip to Nordstroms taking a break from this absurdly intense project I’m on, I saw this navy floppy hat that I loved instantly. It was $38!!! Now I am cool like my chic friends Anne and Lauren.
Splurge: Rag and Bone Wide Brim Fedora – $195
Steal: Nordstrom Floppy Hat (comes in 5 colors and I don’t know why it won’t screenshot in navy!) – $38
Hello Monday…ugh. What a Sunday, right? Fashion Week, US Open finals AND first NFL Sunday? It was a good one. Thank you, sports. I was perusing the Loeffler Randall fall collection this weekend and just wanted to share my favorites right now since many of these pieces are so interesting and unique. Owning any one of the pieces below would step up my fall fashion game 100%.
Top Row: Nicola Knot D’Orsay Pump – $325 // Industry Bucket Bag (fringe + bucket bag = 100) – $395 // Ambra Lace Up Flat (glad this trend is sticking around) – $295 // Mazzy Slip On Sneaker – $325
Bottom Row: Junior Lock Clutch (this combo of silver + calf hair is unreal) – $375 // Pari Fringe Pump ( can’t have enough of these Paris!) – $395 // Shearling Bomber (or this jacket if you want to be a bit more subtle) – $1295 // Jolie Kitten Heel – $350
I sound like a broken record but every year around this time I struggle. It’s warm but not hot, it’s cold sometimes and then it’s not. Layers are obviously key. However, what to buy during this season is even tougher. You have weddings to go to, kids birthday parties to attend, beaches to visit (and beach bodies to work on)…I mean LIFE IS TOUGH. So when my lust lists are even more random than usual, let’s blame the April/May transition.
Clockwise from top left: Jimmy Choo Ivette Sandals (drool) – $775 // Alicia Bell Tie Tunic Dress (we have found the perfect cover up, people) – $198 // Roarke Dove Gray Scarf Necklace – $395 // Carrie Cami in Tropical Frond – $98 // Kate Spade Clam Shell Clutch – $298 // Cece by Cynthia Steffe Eyelet Shirt Dress – $158 // Tropicana Madison Zip Pouch – $55 //JCrew Teardrop Stone Necklace – $102 // Topshop Crocheted Dress (LWD season here we come) – $130 // Henri Bendel Victoria Sunglasses – $125 // Krass & Ko Striped Shorts (are these not the cutest running shorts??) – $45 // BaubleBar Beaded Strands (in coral and in so many great colors) – $36
Apologies for a lust list on a Wednesday (gasp!) but I think we can all deal. It is so flipping cold and there is snow everywhere so let’s put some things on here to get us excited for spring. Take me back to Florida please.
Clockwise from top left: Chelsea 28 Funnel Sweater (love how easy this is) – $52 (was $88) // Bond No. 9 Lexington Perfume – $200 // Intermix Florence Lace Top (this would look amazing with leather skinnies) – $ // Sergio Rossi Lizard Godiva Pump (a dream shoe I know but this is a LUST LIST) – $615 // Alice & Olivia Pearl Scarf (so so pretty) – $242 // Alexis Bittar Miss Havisham Spear Earrings – $195 // Baublebar Pearl Orbit Ring – $28 // Milly Painted Print Chloe Dress (I love that you can wear this with tights too) – $385 // Tibi Organza Striped Top (I love how you could wear this with a blazer and pencil skirt to work and skinnies to go out) – $207 (was $385) // JCrew Factory Pencil Skirt (nautical chic for work) – $75 // Sequin Stone Collar Necklace (love this in white too) – $118 // JCrew Martie Pant – $90 // JCrew Perforated Belt – $30 // Mark and Graham Suede Pouches (these colors were just so pretty together) – $49 // Keds for Kate Spade Sneakers (ADORABLE) – $75
Affordable jewelry is always a great thing to buy when you are on a budget (ME). Moon and Lola is a great brand known for their fun monograms but they’ve been branching out into some non-personalized items and I am loving them. They are easy, pair well with lots of stuff and don’t break the bank. A+ combination.
Chrysler Oval Studs (come in lots of colors) – $42 // Dove Necklace – $58 // Rose Hill Bangle – $56 // Sines Ring – $24 // Faro Ring – $32 // Soho Studs – $52 // Gramercy Studs – $68
My apartment needs serious sprucing up. I always ignore it but lately it’s been irking me that I focus way more on statement necklaces than I do on decor. I’m looking at buying an apartment in NYC these days (stressful? Oh no, not at all) but it’s been in inspiring me to get the white/neutral apartment I’ve always dreamed of. Here are some of the accessories I have my eye on.
Clockwise from top left: Blue Agate Paperweight – $19 // Seahorse Embroidered Cocktail Napkins (or loving the monogrammed version) – $44 // Pig Bookends – $45 // Two’s Company Pierced Lantern – $130 // Delfina Frame – $45 // Any figurine by Herend (dream) – $$$ // 3″ Decorative Cave Calcite – $45 // Lenox Zebra Scalamandre Decanter – $125 // Splatter Frame – $19 // Three Hands Elephant Decoration – $39 // Bone Tray with Brass Handles – $75 // John Robshaw Poppy Pillow – $198 // Oasis Table Lamp Set of 2 – $219 // Mercury Glass Bottles (small, medium, large) – $12 – 19 // Pearl Seychelles Bowl – $69
If you’re like me, extreme winter temperatures and weather will always be a shock to the system. I HATE being cold. I think it’s miserable, and I really don’t care how ridiculous I look avoiding the discomfort of freezing to death.
I think these are pretty stylish and I actually ordered them for my snowy commute to work. In hindsight, I’m realizing that they may not be the most practical boots on earth. Whups.
I think this “ear warmer” is so cute (and practical). Though my dad would say you lose XX% of your body heat through your head and would advise something that covers the TOP of your head, such as this one:
Barca Slouchy Hat
Every lady needs a pair of leather gloves.
Personally, I think its important to have a casual pair of gloves as well.
My favorite part of the ensemble – the scarf pulls everything together. I love this “snood” from J. Crew and it is 40% off right now!
After a very long hiatus from dang-ly earrings, I am back on the bandwagon. Since minimalism and understated pairings have been in for so long, statement earrings are making a comeback. Obviously we have all been lusting after Dannijo’s vibrant jewels for some time now, but her glitzy earrings are really talking to me right now. A few of my favorites…
Simon Crystal Chandelier Earrings by Dannijo
The silver and blue hues in these would match basically everything in my closet and add a much needed dash of color this winter.
Dorothy Drop Earrings by Dannijo
A good drop earring elongates the face and after this holiday season, I’ll probably be needing help in that area.
Button Earrings by Dannijo
If you’re not feeling my flow, a bold pair of studs will always been en vogue – for you blue eyed babes, this pair will really make your eyes pop.
Cerise Earrings by Juliet and Company
These are just cool, I dont know what else to say – and you really can’t beat the bargain price of $44.
Shay Ear Crawlers
Ear “crawlers” can sound and look creepy, but this pair by Shay knocks it out of the park. I think these would look smashing with an otherwise traditional outfit – they add a fun edge for a creative or hip cocktail party look.
What a surprise, I am wanting another statement necklace. I wear so many plain black dresses to work but I always dress it up with a fun piece and it feels like I am not working in a boring corporate job. So many fun ones out there and a few below are amazing pieces that do not break the bank. Enjoy!!
Top Row: BaubleBar Pearl Choker – $36 // Deepa Gurnani Half Circle Necklace – $288 // JCrew Crystal Spike Necklace – $ // Lee by Lee Angel Crystal Necklace Set (Two necklaces in one? Genius) – $148
Bottom Row: Kenneth Jay Lane Multilink Necklace (love this in gold too) – $60 // Loren Hope Stella Necklace – $195 // JCrew Captured Pearl Necklace – $114 // BaubleBar Stardust Phoenix Bib – $58
