So yesterday I was half asleep but had a million things to do. The one thing I couldn’t muster? A cute outfit. I threw on an oversized sweater and leggings but I was running everywhere so sneakers were more ideal. Finding a pair of cute sneakers isn’t always easy. Here are some of my favorites below.
Top Row: JCrew Nike Vintage Collection Sneakers – $85 // New Balance for Kate Spade Saturday – $95 // Loeffler Randall Rio Sneaker – $295
Bottom Row: New Balance 420 Sneaker – $75 // Tory Burch Delancey Sneaker – $185 // Nike Pre Montreal Sneaker – $85
Winter white is one of my favorite classic looks for fall and winter. Practical it is not but let’s be real here, I’m not known for being practical. I tried this Mason sweater dress on at Intermix with black tights and booties and it was just awesome. So thick and cozy but I couldn’t spring for the price. While on one of my PP research breaks, I saw this version of the dress at Nordstroms and really couldn’t even justify buying the Mason one after seeing it. It’s a perfect substitute at a great price point (under $100 IS PRACTICAL) and you won’t feel that guilty if you only wear it a few times.
Splurge: Mason by Michelle Mason Sweater Dress – $398
Steal: Treasure & Bond Sweater Dress – $88
When it comes to casual clothes, I am pretty terrible at wearing pants. I tend to stay away from jeans. Period. Like I never wear them. But in my closet I have about six pairs that just sit there being like, “Oh hey girl, I look so great with a basic tee”. Over the weekend I finally fit into a pair from last summer and I forgot how EASY jeans are. My favorites? JCrew because they’re pretty much always 25% off and you can get a great pair for under $150. Even better? Bring an old pair of jeans to JCrew between now and 9/30 and get $20 towards your denim purchase!!
Toothpick Jean in Black (my fav style) – $115
Boyfriend Jean in Abbott Wash (are these not the most perfect bf jeans???) – $128
Reid Cone Denim Jean in Brewster – $125
Hefty price tags are abound right now since fall is officially happening. While I am not buying anything just yet, that doesn’t mean I can’t start looking for when sales happen. There are so many gorgeous textures and fabrics for fall this year and it’s such an easy way to spruce up a plain solid outfit. While most everything on here is absurdly expensive, just take a look and ogle. Inspiration!!!
Clockwise from top left: Sergio Rossi Suede Mary Janes – $690 // 10 Crosby Derek Lam Tweed Jacket – $450 // Alexis Bittar Lucite Imperial Necklace – $445 // Saint Laurent Sac Du Jour Tote (AHHHHH) – $2790 // Mackage Adele Coat (This has been on my lust list for two years. Does that make it a must?) – $680 // Isabel Marant Crisi Wedge Biker Boot – $790 // Sarah Chloe Petite Jolie Diamond Necklace – $328 // Milly Jacquard Mini Dress – $525 // Autumn Cashmere Hi Lo Cowl Gilet– $348 // Kate Spade Deco Dot Crepe Top – $248
It was a crazy week last week so I’m so sorry for putting PP on the back burner. We are back this week everyone and oh, are we ready. It’s crazy that it’s 90 degrees out and fall is already starting but there are some things to focus on to take you between seasons, a good flat being one of them. My fav part about spring and fall are being able to wear skinnies with flats and not be freezing/sweating. You can never have too many pairs of flats (as long as they are unique!).
Top Row: Loeffler Randall Gray Karlotta Flat (love the black accents) – $250 // Chloe Scalloped Flat in navy suede (thanks to my wonderful boyfriend for getting me these flats as they really are the most comfortable / gorgeous flats in the world – $495 // See by Chloe Studded Leather Flat (also love it in gray) – $180
Bottom Row: JCrew Factory Emery Flat in Navy (love this navy) – $78 // Mint & Rose Amalfi Espadrille in rose gold (perfect for an Indian summer) – $125 // JCrew Harper Scalloped Flat (THIS PINK but also the cobalt) – $128
I’m always complaining that I don’t have the best weekend wardrobe. I need some more pieces to wear on the weekends during the day and going out if I’m not headed anywhere too special. This weekend, while shopping with my bestie since babyhood Jen, we decided that I clearly need jeans that I’ll actually wear. The key to buying these pieces is making them versatile – chunky heels, sexy flats, jackets that can be worn at work or just general day dresses that you won’t get sick of. I’m ready for you warmer weather!!

Today’s lust list could very well be my most random one yet. I’m all over the place with what I’m lusting for since I’m still in winter mode but pastels are creeping up on me (and I’ve always been a sucker for Easter egg colors!). There’s lots of pretty pieces out there so as always, my lack of January spending is a real challenge but only 10 more days! Wish me luck but in the meantime, a girl can dream…

I’m loving jewel tones this week, especially navy and that deep cerulean blue that just pops. I love pairing these greens/aquas/blues with nudes/golds/pinks because it really makes them pop. Get me those Tory Burch studded flats – they’d look so perfect with jeans or black/navy pants. I love bringing jewel tones into the home through the agate coasters that look pretty gorgeous. A baby pink sweater with a ruffle at the bottom? ADORABLE.

It was a chilly start to the Memorial Day Weekend but the beginning of summer is always exciting! If this weather doesn’t perk up soon, my beach weekends are going to be filled with lightweight layers and casual clothes. If I were to have gone somewhere last weekend, my weekender would have looked a bit like the above…A whole lot of comfy + cute.
