Who What Wear wrote about hearts being the new “It” print. I read this with a huge smile. There’s not much more that I love than girly things so I was pumped to start looking around for some amazing heart items.
I saw this heart print button silk shirt at JCrew ($135)on Saturday and I had to hold myself back from purchasing. Pair it with a navy pencil skirt for work (or a navy suit for my fancy days) or white jeans when spring arrives. Dorothy Perkins has hearts everywhere and this scarf ($12) can be a great accent to a basic black look. As featured on the Who What Wear post, Rebecca Taylor has a heart print dress in navy as well as this Ikat Tee ($245) with my favorite scoop neckline for spring. If the heart print is just a little too much for you to rock everyday, Anya Hindmarch’s coin purse ($195) or Marc Jacobs’ iphone cover ($34) still follow the trend in a more subtle way.
Asos took an adorable heart print dress (on sale for $45) and made it even cuter by adding a peter pan collar. This white Halston Heritage dress with red hearts on it is Valentine’s Day perfect and looks to be super comfortable but don’t be mad at me…it’s sold out online. Not included in this collage but HH has been spot on with the hearts trend – we love this tie neck blouse on Bluefly now for $160 and their sequin heart sweater ($195). I couldn’t write a post about hearts and not include something by Sonia Rykiel and this cashmere blend top ($125) is just plain fun.
Some other heart items that I loved not featured in this post…a gray glitter heart t shirt ($36) from Topshop, this black and white big heart sweater ($50) from Dorothy Perkins and some ridiculous heart print tights from YSL…for $95.
Now let’s all cross our fingers and hope this trend flows into BOWS next…
