Hello everyone. I am especially sleepy today and of course work has taken over my morning workout that usually perks me up. One of those days…So let’s look at some things I am lusting over to perk me up. Looks like I’m craving some neutral basics in my closet these days. I consider navy a neutral don’t you? Because those navy booties are too cute!

I’ve been very good about not shopping this month (it’s going to last through March people so keep your fingers crossed) but that doesn’t stop me from looking. Everything that’s caught my eye has been a neutral because it is really cold and winter-ey so that means neutrals are your go-to. Most of this stuff is on sale so get shopping!!

Spring is supposedly three weeks away or so they say. I don’t know the exact number of days because I am quite skeptical that it’s actually going to happen. I’m currently craving lot of pinks, shoes and bags to add to my collection (clearly). I am loving the spring pieces that are out; pastels and feminine colors for everyone!!! I have a feeling my shopping-rexia is going to end soon. It was fun while it lasted.

I spent the weekend in sunny Florida and it was such an amazing break from the brutal Northeast winter!!! Running outside, flip flops, palm trees everywhere…it really is such a great weekend getaway. I’m juice cleansing and no longer in Florida so what a crappy Monday, right?! Shopping with my mom definitely put my winter clothes on the backburner and my love for spring has officially sprung. We saw some really cute things including some of the below. I just can’t wait for light neutral shoes and summer dresses. Keeping my fingers crossed that this week’s latest polar plunge is the last!
Clockwise from top left: JCrew Downtown Field Jacket – $150 // Sundry Sweatpants (I am not exactly a proponent of sweatpants but this brand makes ones that are actually cute) -$100 // Lilly Pulitzer Robyn Dress – $98 // CWonder Honeycomb Heel – $150 // JCrew Factory Textured Dot Top (I am pairing mine with navy skinnies for now and white shorts for later) – $65 // Navajo Print Scarf – $40 // Kate Spade Carlisle Street Cosmetics Case – $170 // Ray-Ban Ice Pop Wayfarers (I borrowed these in pink from my mom all weekend and they were way cooler than anything I own) – $160 // Sole Society Marni Sandal – $60 // JCrew Mint Spike Bracelet – $75 // Asos Shift Dress with Scallop Collar (adore) – $50
Today’s lust list is a hodge podge of things with no real rhyme or reason to them except for they all ring in for under $100! If you’re in the mood to perk yourself up with something new, this is an easy way to do it without breaking the bank. Spring is officially here in all of our favorite stores so I am planning to load up on pastels and soft neutrals. I’m loving that BaubleBar necklace (it comes in four awesome colors) and that Gap sweater is pretty much a must.
Clockwise from top left: Sole Society Binford Pump– $70 //Gap Ladder Switch Sweater (loving all of the great pastels) – $50 // Heather Hawkins Cabachon Studs – $88 // JCrew fluted skirt (comes in five great colors) – $98 // JOA sleeveless dress (the tie is such a cute effect!) – $75 // JCrew Factory Polka Dot Chambray Shirt – $44 // Whale Canvas Tote – $42 // BaubleBar Gold Dust Collar – $46 // Zara Checked Scarf (this is much cuter in person) – $17 // Kate Spade Little Shiloh Pouch – $98 // Topshop v neck sheath dress – $92
Winter weather woes are getting me super excited for spring (or motivating me to book a trip to PB immediately). The amazing pastels that are happening for this spring that go from head to toe are so tempting! They are all so soft and pretty making my spendless January (which is now becoming spendless February) worthwhile!

Happy Monday everyone. To start the week off, I couldn’t help but put what’s on my current wish list. This week’s list is a bit darker than the norm. There is just a ton out there in black and white that I’m into (with some splashes of deep pink thrown in there). For the most part, all of these pieces are quite simple with some little accents making them special. I love the easiness of this wraparound skirt (and the faux leather trim) with a simple top. I think this necklace with a plain white button down shirt would be a dream. The v-shape is just awesome. Don’t get me started on this Alexander Wang dress. It is open-mouth drool worthy. Ugh. Better start saving my pennies in this “when pigs fly” piggy bank!
Zara Blouse with Embroidered Collar – $60 (love all of the colors) // Trouve Faux Wraparound Skirt – $78 // CWonder Piggy Bank – $58 // Loeffler Randall Lock Clutch – $375 // Tory Burch Ramona Sweater (suc han easy basic to throw on with a pair of skinnies or a black pencil skirt for work) – $295 // Alexander Wang Drop Waist Blouson Dress (I mean…is this not the chicest???) – $650 // Jeffrey Campbell Inaba Pump (you can’t see it, but these are gray snakeskin and they are just really really cool) – Dannijo Hallie Necklace – $345 // JCrew Fluted Skirt (love this with a black sweater and black opaque tights) – $98 // CWonder Crystal Fan Earrings – $38 // Zara Woolen Wraparound Coat – $160
During the JCrew sale last week, I picked up the Dot Capris that I showed as a sales pick. They arrived over the weekend and I love. I’ll wear these when the weather gets a bit warmer but they can easily be a transition piece with a layered look on top. Here’s a spring look I’ll try to mimic with a mix of similar neutrals and one small pop of color.
Dara Ettinger Alanna Earrings – $84 // JCrew Cafe Dot Capri – $78 (was $98 last week!) // Club Monaco Giselle Sweater – $120 (or $45 in stores) // JCrew Blythe Blouse – $110 // Baublebar Pink Twisted Teardrop Necklace – $42 // Charles Philip Lizzette Loafers – $175 or here // Loeffler Randall Rider Bag – $495 (also love in the mint color with this outfit) // Kate Spade Metro Watch – $175
