The theme to my fall wardrobe seems to be blacks as basics and neutral or soft palletes on top. Truthfully, I’m in all black pretty much everyday with a jacket on top to give me some spice but lust lists are for lusting, right??? I’m loving the Tory Burch tunic as it would look gorge with black or navy skinny pants. The CWonder heels look like like they could spice up my work wardrobe too. There will be more to come on this but I’m getting excited for some holiday dresses like the Anthro one below!!!
Top Row: CWonder Suede Watersnake Pumps (also love these in black) – $148 // BaubleBar Geode Drops – $20 // JCrew Bib Necklace Sweatshirt – $98 // JCrew Factory Knee Socks – $10 // Tory Burch Helena Tunic – $500 (I know it’s expensive but this sweater is the perfect fall item)
Bottom Row: Anthropologie Effervescence Dress (holiday dresses are starting…love this one for all winter long) – $188 // Repetto Suede Flats (in the best jewel tone) – $285 // Essie Power Clutch – $8 // JCrew Cocoon Coat (in the perfect gray) – $350 // JCrew Factory Gigi Pants (are these not so cute?!!) – $88
Work has been a bit intense these days so thankgoodness for online shopping when I get home. Whew. Fall is officially upon us and the season is so so stunning. I’m loving the gorgeous fabrics (tweed is my favorite), the added detailing and shoes this season are getting to be way too tempting. I really can’t choose what my favorite is on this list today. The Zara dress is such a gorgeous color scheme and at such a great price point. That DVF pencil skirt would be that skirt I put on at work and probably not pay attention to anything but my outfit. And those Marais slippers???? I can’t. What a perfect shoe to wear around town on a Sunday.
Anthropologie Marari Top – $148 // Corso Como Del Pump (love all of these colors in suede) – $130 // Tory Burch Robinson Makeup Bag (this is from the summer but I still think it’s so cute) – $ // Zara Jacquard Dress – $80 //Rebecca Taylor Tweed Snowflake Jacket (why are gray boucle jackets so hard to find???) – $495 // Dannijo Tobi Earrings – $155 // DVF Paulina Python Skirt (this color + snake print = omg) – $285 // Marais USA Slipper Flats (!!) – $180 // Alexander Wang Prisma Biker Purse – $295 // JCrew Factory Jeweled Sweatshirt – $44
This isn’t the greatest example of lusting for less however, I did recently return this garland necklace to JCrew after seeing the BaubleBar version. Let me explain why. I really wanted a necklace to wear on top of a buttoned up collared shirt. I wanted the bling part to show off at the bottom of the collar to add some sparkle. I love the JCrew version of these perfect garlands but what I love about the BaubleBar piece is the adjustable length for different types of tops and dresses (and the fact that it’s 1/3 the price). It will poke out enough to give me the bling I’ve been wanting and it won’t choke me on top of that (this is an issue with layering sometimes, am I wrong?).
Splurge: JCrew Crystal Floral Garland Necklace – $90 (was $115)
Steal: BaubleBar Crystal Dahlia Strand – $32
Happy Monday everyone. To start the week off, I couldn’t help but put what’s on my current wish list. This week’s list is a bit darker than the norm. There is just a ton out there in black and white that I’m into (with some splashes of deep pink thrown in there). For the most part, all of these pieces are quite simple with some little accents making them special. I love the easiness of this wraparound skirt (and the faux leather trim) with a simple top. I think this necklace with a plain white button down shirt would be a dream. The v-shape is just awesome. Don’t get me started on this Alexander Wang dress. It is open-mouth drool worthy. Ugh. Better start saving my pennies in this “when pigs fly” piggy bank!
Zara Blouse with Embroidered Collar – $60 (love all of the colors) // Trouve Faux Wraparound Skirt – $78 // CWonder Piggy Bank – $58 // Loeffler Randall Lock Clutch – $375 // Tory Burch Ramona Sweater (suc han easy basic to throw on with a pair of skinnies or a black pencil skirt for work) – $295 // Alexander Wang Drop Waist Blouson Dress (I mean…is this not the chicest???) – $650 // Jeffrey Campbell Inaba Pump (you can’t see it, but these are gray snakeskin and they are just really really cool) – Dannijo Hallie Necklace – $345 // JCrew Fluted Skirt (love this with a black sweater and black opaque tights) – $98 // CWonder Crystal Fan Earrings – $38 // Zara Woolen Wraparound Coat – $160
I am obsessed with this Milly jacket. I love the boucle, I love the leather trim, I love everything about it. It will be perfect for going out and going to work with a black shift dress. I’m getting pretty excited about all of the leather that is out there this season because so many pieces are mixing fabrics taking the harshness of black leather down a notch. What I don’t love about this jacket is the $500 price tag but in comes my go-to Nordstroms with a great alternative. Halogen’s boucle knit jacket is under $100 and has some cute leather trim accentuating the bomber style. Love them both!
Splurge: Milly Harper Zipper Jacket – $495
Steal: Halogen Boucle Knit Bomber – $98
I am a big fan of blouses that can take me to the office in a pencil skirt or tucked into skinnies underneath a blazer. Combining this with my stripe obsession + my love of mint and you have today’s post. These bright stripes are a great way for me to feel bright and preppy at work while not rocking my sherbet colored spring wardrobe that I wear outside of the office. I’ll pair these blouses with a navy pencil skirt, a sailor knot belt and some nude wedges to work and then a bright pair of skinnies on the weekends. Love!!!
Equipment Capri Silk Blouse – $258
Ann Taylor Pierre Print Shirt– $60
Pim & Larkin Tory Silk Blouse – $80
Inspired by my Blue Monday last week and my wishlisted blue tweed IRO blazer, I am getting pretty excited for some spring tweed coming up. So far, these are my favorite pieces to get me into one of my favorite looks, ladylike tweed.
I love the idea of this jacket. I love the light color combined with the zipper and the amazing versatility of the cut. I’d wear this to work over a LBD or with jeans for a night out. LOVE THIS. It also comes in adorable pink or navy.
Joie Collis Tweed Jacket – $298
I love the texture and the color of this spring skirt oh and the price point is pretty great too.
Halogen Textured Pencil Skirt – $69
Joie Daydreaming Tweed Loafer – $175
We loved the winter black version of this and we are loving the spring colors as well. The navy here would be great with white or black skinny pants but the salmon and white combo for spring is great as well.
Rebecca Taylor Tweed Peplum Top – $350
Today only, Loeffler Randall is having 15% off of everything. Enter code “POPSUGAR” to get your hands on some of our favorites…including their new amazing bag collection.
Loeffler Lock Clutch – $336 (normally $375) I also am obsessed with the classic black version for $250.
Rider Bag – $403 (was $475)
Annabel Mignon Wedge – $298 (was $350) I neeeeeeed these for spring and summer!!
Tamsin Black Ridge Pumps – $250 (was $295) Our favorite lower heeled pumps in a really cool new leather pattern.
Jason Wu has clearly been a golden child in the fashion world but my eyes were really open wide when this amazing dress came out.
I also find this one to be the absolutely darling as well if you have like a grand to just throw around.
Clearly his fashions are way out of my price range but perhaps not anymore! Jason just debuted his lower priced line (sold solely at Nordstroms right now) for Spring 2013 and it is absolutely adorable. While the prices aren’t exactly low, they are much more reasonable (and affordable once they go on sale) and I can’t wait to get my hands on some of this stuff. See the entire collection here but below are my favorites.
Tie Neck Crepe de Chine Blouse – $195 // Hem Detail Faille Skirt – $245
Lace Yoke Faille Dress – $495
Belted Crepe de Chine Shirtdress – $395
Years ago I owned a tartan plaid pleated skirt (with matching pointy toe flats) from JCrew and I sort of wish I still owned it. I just love this dark green and navy combo and I’m so happy to see it back this season in a McQ Alexander McQueen blazer that I keep seeing everywhere (not to mention the adorable dress version or the pants that would look just stunning with a plain navy or ivory turtleneck). I love pairing this with winter white pants or a dress for work. The leather skinny pants in this photo are also a pretty awesome combination. The only problem with this blazer is it’s price tag of $1,000. But that’s a legit problem so here are a few lower priced replacements to get that prep school look (Club Monaco offers a sick pair of these pants if you prefer Scottish bottoms).
Capulet Collegiate Plaid Blazer – $224
Olivia Moon Plaid Blazer – $88
Gap Plaid Academy Blazer – $98
