A Great Pair of (Affordable) Pants

15 Oct

By Whitney

The moto trend is in full effect.  Pants with leather patches, zippers and strategic quilting seem to be everywhere this season.  I wanted to find a pair that weren’t “too much” and could actually be paired with what I already had in my closet (my style doesn’t exactly align with this trend) .   I was looking for a basic pant with a bit of an edge.  At Bloomies f&f last week I found a great pair that were under $100 and satisfied my exact needs.  These Aqua black pointe knit leggings are great.  Two zippers and a patch of quilting going down the side of the leg are subtle features that pair well with just a basic t shirt and a cool necklace.  The best part?  They are $78.  A great price to pick up on a trend that probably won’t last too long but one you’ll want to get in on.

Aqua Quilted Pointe Zip Pants – $78

Shoshanna Trunk Show Recap

16 Apr

by Lauren

On Friday I had the pleasure of attending the Shoshanna trunk show at Urban Chic’s Georgetown location.  I have been dying over Shoshanna’s bright prints and colors this season and the amazing merchandising and displays at UC made it even more apparent: Shoshanna is killing it this spring.

Urban Chic teamed up with “Petite Social” whose tag line is “Little Celebrations. Big Style”
What a great event planning concept! The candy displays were colorful and perfect for the
occasion.

I really gravitated toward the orange and blue mixing of patterns.  I especially loved the Zulu print
& leaving no trunk show behind, I walked out with a pair of Zulu print shorts and this silk top, which
will do double duty as a layering piece under a blazer for work & an easy
top on a summer night.

My other favorites:

1. Faye Printed Dress

2.  Zoe Color Block Dress

3.  Belle Twill Dress

4. Mia Tropical Dress & shorts in the same print (awful picture but they are
great, trust me)

5. Tillie Printed Dress
