Lauren’s Shopbop Picks

Since last week when my sister urged me to log into her hearts on Shopbop, I have been OBSESSING over this Australian brand, Nicholas. While I love EVERYTHING by this shop, here are a few of my favorite picks:

Note:  If you are shopping this line – the sizes are in AU!  So a 6 is an XS, 8 is a S, 10 is a M and so on… I have a feeling these clothes are cut snug but will report back if I place an order! Oh and hit the sale while it’s hot! 

This Tulip Skirt is the item that was in my sister’s “hearts” that first caught my eye – those colors are honestly everything and I must own this.

Similarly, this Watercolor Skirt is just as nice as the tulip.  Both of these skirts would look awesome with the 360 SWEATER that I posted last week (or any navy, black, yellow or pink sweater):

Hanky Panky Sample Sale Wrap Up

This morning before work, I headed over to the Hanky Panky Sample Sale and WHAT a sale it was.  There are tons of bins filled with boy shorts, bralettes, undies, camisoles, CRINOLINES, chemises…you name it and there is a major selection in every size and fabric.   Below is a tub of boy shorts all for $12 each.

There were a lot of ladies there this AM but I got there early enough to be at the front of the line before checking my coat and bag so that my hands were free to peruse.

So what’s happening here is that all of the thongs low-rise, mid-rise, petite, and original in an assortment of fun sorbet hues are located at a staffed table area. There, I filled out a form with my selections and had to wait on a pretty long line to pick up my order before paying.  All thongs are $10 each so I figured it was worth it and I picked my sister up some as well.

Other items that I purchased included a chemise for $25, some bralettes for my favorite co-blogger and myself for $15 each and some boy shorts for my favorite mom ($12).  Staffers say they’ll be restocking so stop by!!

Sample Sale Madness Ensues

Hello, New Yorkers.  November is sample sale season and it has been a bananas month.  Apparently the line at YSL was three hours long a couple of weeks ago and the private Manolo sale even evoked my favorite NYTimes writer to dedicate one of her biweekly columns to the event.  Yesterday I took my lunch break and ran over to the Kara Ross sample sale (in their gorgeous pure white office!) to get one of her to-die-for cuffs that Lauren introduced me to.  I am obsessed with them but not their $300+ price tag.

For $95, I got the cuff in a peachy pink lizard and two really cool rings for $60.  One is a present for my sister so I hope she doesn’t read this before I see her tonight.
